Cue Support
Need a hand with Cue? Contact us at developer@elsefree.com.
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Cue version, and a short description of what happened. For recording issues, include the quality setting and recording length. Please avoid sending private scripts or videos unless needed to understand your request.
Camera or microphone not working
Open iPhone Settings, find Cue, and allow Camera and Microphone. If another app is using the camera or a call interrupts recording, return to Cue and try again. Check that your iPhone has enough free storage.
Follow my voice is unavailable
Voice following requires iOS 26 or later and a device and language supported by Apple's on-device speech technology. Open Pace, select Follow my voice, leave Language set to Automatic from script, and download the detected language model if prompted. You can also choose a language manually. Automatic selection uses the script, rather than switching languages continuously while you speak. Apple still requires a supported local language model. You can use Fixed speed without a speech model.
Text is moving too quickly
Open Pace and choose Fixed speed to adjust words per minute. In Follow my voice, pause speaking to hold your place. Tap a line to continue from that point. Restart returns to the beginning.
Where are my videos?
When you keep a take, Cue saves it in Studio and adds a copy to Photos with your permission. If saving fails, keep the review screen open and retry after resolving permissions or storage. You can share a Studio video to Files or another app.
Does deleting in Studio delete from Photos?
Cue defaults to deleting the selected take from both Cue and Photos, and requests read/write permission plus the system’s deletion confirmation when needed. Cancelling or denying permission keeps the local take. If Cue cannot find or access a matching Photos copy, it deletes only the local file; you can manage any remaining copy in Photos. Deletion may sync to other devices through iCloud Photos. Other exports are unaffected. Cue cannot restore a deleted local take.
