Cue Privacy Policy

In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Elsefree LLC. This policy covers the Cue iPhone app, our website, and support communications.

Your work stays on your iPhone

The Cue app has no account, advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, or developer-operated backend. The app does not send us your scripts, recordings, microphone audio, speech transcripts, app activity, or device identifiers. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.

Local storage and backups

Cue stores your script, title, preferences, and videos you keep in Studio on your device. When you keep a finished take, Cue also saves a copy to Photos after you grant permission. Apple may include app data or Photos in device backups or iCloud services according to your settings. Those services are controlled by Apple under its own policies.

Camera, microphone, speech, and Photos

Camera: Used for the viewfinder and video recording.

Microphone: Used to record sound and, on supported devices, follow your spoken script.

Speech: Follow my voice uses Apple's on-device speech technology on supported iOS 26 or later devices and languages. Cue does not upload speech audio or retain recognition transcripts. Apple may download language assets when you request them. Fixed speed remains available when voice following is unavailable.

Photos: Cue requests add-only access when you keep or export a take. If you choose “Delete from Cue and Photos” for a take with a tracked Photos copy, it requests additional read/write access and asks iOS to confirm deletion. Cue uses the saved asset identifier to locate the copy it exported. If no tracked Photos copy exists, Cue deletes only its local file without requesting broader Photos access. Limited Photos access can prevent Cue from finding a copy. Cue does not upload your photo library or use it for other purposes.

You can change permissions in iOS Settings. Revoking a permission disables the related feature but does not remove videos already saved.

Sharing

When you use the system share sheet, the destination you select receives the video under its own privacy practices. Cue does not send us a copy. Copies in Photos, Files, other apps, or services are controlled separately from Cue.

Retention and deletion

You can edit or clear your script and delete Studio videos in Cue. When you delete a saved take, Cue attempts to remove both its local file and the identifiable Photos copy after read/write permission and system confirmation. If no matching Photos copy can be found or accessed, Cue removes only its local file. If permission is denied or system confirmation is cancelled, Cue keeps the local take. Other exports must be managed in their destination. Photos deletion can propagate through iCloud Photos according to your Apple settings; recently deleted items are managed by Photos. Backups may retain earlier copies according to your Apple settings. We cannot remotely view, recover, or delete your local recordings.

Website and support

Our website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit it, including when you open a policy inside Cue, Vercel processes connection information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the site. We do not add advertising cookies or analytics scripts. See the Vercel Privacy Notice.

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to send. We use it to respond, resolve your request, and meet applicable legal obligations. Our support mailbox is hosted by Google; its processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Avoid sending private scripts or recordings unless needed for your request. We retain correspondence only as long as needed for these purposes and applicable legal requirements.

Where applicable, we process support information to respond to your request and for our legitimate interest in providing support, and website connection information to deliver and secure the site. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable safeguards and policies. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, or complain to your local data protection authority.

Children and security

Cue is not designed specifically for children. Scripts, recordings, and speech stay on your device; website and support information is handled as described above. If a child has sent personal information through support, contact us to request its removal. Protect your device and Apple account, and use care when sharing content; no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Changes

We will update this policy and its effective date when features or legal obligations change, and provide any notice required by law. The app opens the current policy directly from our website. An internet connection is required; website updates appear in the app without an app update.
